The Most Practical Way for CA Homeowners to Get HVAC Permits

Seasonal was created to help California homeowners navigate the HVAC permitting process without the confusion, delays, and paperwork headaches that often come with it. When a project requires permit drawings, Title 24 documentation, AHRI certificates, city submittals, or plan check responses, we provide a streamlined permitting package designed around what your jurisdiction actually needs. Instead of spending hours researching permit requirements, deciphering city portals, or trying to determine which forms and documents are required, you can submit your project information online and let us handle the rest. Whether you're installing a mini-split, replacing HVAC equipment, upgrading to a heat pump, modifying ductwork, relocating equipment, or tackling another residential HVAC project, our goal is simple: help you move from project idea to permit approval with as little hassle as possible.

Our Approach

difficult part of an HVAC project. Every project is reviewed with attention to scope, equipment documentation, Title 24 requirements, local permit requirements, and the practical realities of getting work approved by your city or county. Our goal is not to overwhelm homeowners with technical jargon or unnecessary complexity. It is to prepare clear permit documentation, coordinate with permitting agencies when needed, respond to plan check comments, and help move projects through the approval process as efficiently as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my project doesn't fall under your "project types" list?

Because of the broad nature of mechanical design, there are far too many possible project types to list them all on our homepage, however we're ready to support varying levels of complexity, up to high end residential and mid-tier commercial. Odds are, if your project relates to the mechanical trades, we can produce a permit set for you and provide the support you need, even adding a Mechanical P.E. stamp if needed. Our advice - if you're not sure, go ahead and submit your project anyway, and we'll give you a call to discuss the details.

Can you submit the permit set to the city for us and provide plan check support?

Yes, we can also handle permit submittal and the plan check process for a small additional cost built into your initial quote. We're happy to provide a full-scope submittal process for you including initial submittal, correspondence with city officials, and plan check responses. Simply check the box labelled "Permit Submission & Plan Check Responses Done For You" when filling out our quote form.

Do you provide Title 24 support?

Yes, we absolutely can provide Title 24 support, including reviewing your design for compliance, generating Title 24 documentation plan sheets required for permitting, registering your job with CHEERS, and more.

What exactly do you need to create the drawing set?

• Project Address
• Approx. Conditioned Floor Area & Year Built
• Scope of Work (2-3 Sentences)
• New Equipment Model Numbers & Quantity
• Existing Equipment Model Numbers & Quantity
• Basic Hand-Drawn Sketch of New Equipment Locations
• Electrical Panel Photograph & Location
